At least one man from Lancaster County was critically injured while riding his bike morning of Wednesday in New Holland.

According to New Holland Police, the victim was identified as 23-years-old Levi Stoltzfus, 23, resident of Ronks who is now receiving medical treatment at the General Hospital of Lancaster.

At about 8:00 0’clock in the morning, Stoltzfus was biking when he was unable to halt for a stop sign posted at the corner of Horning and of Maple Grove roads, police said.

He was hit by a scooter behind him that was operated by Kyle Betz, age 28. Although, Betz was not harmed in the collision but his scooter was badly damaged that it had to be towed away from the scene.

New Holland police Officer JT Young said that they are continuing their investigation of the crash. It the scene, police were assisted by medical team from the Ephrata Hospital, Fire Rescue from Garden Spot and the New Holland Ambulance.

New Holland Police Chief Don Bowers confirmed that Levi Stoltzfoos, age 23 and resident of Quarryville died Friday of injuries from the accident Wednesday. The victim was unable to halt a stop sign and rode downhill.

Bowers informed the press that the driver did not have the opportunity to stop and won’t face charges.

An accident happened at around 8:00 o’clock in the morning along a rural road.

The victim identified as Levi B. Stoltzfoos of 1212 River Rd., Quarryville, Pennsylvania, expired last Friday at the General Hospital of Lancaster as the result of an accident on May 28th.

Funeral service will be held at the Residence of Amos Miller, 1202 River Road, at 9: 00 o’clock. Friends are invited to call at Levi until time of service. Place of interment will be at the Amish Cemetery of Drumore Amish.

Another critical accident happened near the same area as two people were reported injured after a vehicle hit a pedestrian along Camden County Saturday morning.

According to the police, the driver was identified as Lisa Diulio, age 52 who was operating her vehicle going eastbound along White Horse Pike in the vicinity of Pump Branch Rd in the Waterford section of Winslow Twp. at about 8:40 o’clock in the morning. For unknown reason, she hit a pedestrian who was also going eastbound along White Horse Pike.

Police narrated that due to the impact; the victim identified as Jose Burgos, Jr., age 24, and was thrown from the roadway. He was immediately airlifted to the University Hospital of Cooper sustaining life-threatening condition.

Diulio, the driver also suffered minor injuries and was delivered to the hospital of Virtua Berlin for treatment.
